Trivia
-Ken Fisher was the first driver to win the feature 4 weeks in a
row - did it in 1956
-races usually started on Good Friday in the early years
-raced rain or shine
-from 1952-58 the season was put on hold for the CNE - resumed again
in mid-September and ran until Thanksgiving
-from 1959-66 the season ended before the Ex started and did not
resume after
-the track was surrounded by a wooden fence from 1952-58 - it was
very common for cars to go right through
-by 1957 the top cars were costing $4000-$5000
-the races were covered by TV some years
