Discuss Moosehead Premium Dry Speedway or as it was formerly known Exhibition Park Motor Speedway.

the track was tricky but fun, management was fair and accomodating, car counts and spectators were growing,...politics,politics,politics...crowds and drivers, for whatever reason did not move on to nearest track

I loved that track i seen some great racing there with the Mascar tour and it is a shame that it closed so early it would of had some great memories if it had of stayed open

The only reason it closed was pressure from people up the ass of Mascar

Those "people" were the end of MASCAR and a thorn in their ass. Get your facts right!

I heard they closed it because exhibition park only wanted car shows and horse shows etc, no racing

I raced many races at this track.  I ran my first race there and that's where I caught it.  I traveled to afew different tracks sincee, and none were as good as it, for different reasons.  It was politics that closed the track, along with other reasons, that I will not get into. I moved on to be a weekly racer at nearby Scotia Speedworld.  I only hope Scotia can recapture even a partial glory that it once had...that EPMS was enroute to achieve.

The track was nice but the guy they had running it was what killed it. They also only want that land at exhibition park used for agriculture stuff. they were talking of putting a horse track there.

It's located on the fairgrounds property so I'm assuming it's owned by the city, town, county or whatever so I doubt it would ever be for sale. There's not much left any way.

yea, i dont think theres much left of it except the land, and even that might be used now...absolute shame i enjoyed the racing there.

i was running out at scotia and was planning on going racing here the year they closed it down. i never got to see a race at track. a lot of money down the drain. would cost a lot to build a track and then close it 4 years later. i think with its location it had potential to attract good numbers of crowds and car count
