Have you checked out Doug Johsons website, www.maritimemotorsports.com? it has lots of info regarding old tracks in the maritimes.  Another that you could check out is scott alexander's website, his father used to run seabreeze.

I have seen Doug's site and I have it listed on the Links page under "Fan Sites". I left a message on Scott Alexander's guestbook asking for more info on Seabreeze. Thanks for pointing me in that direction.

That may very well be, as some of the programs I found there only go up to 96 or 97, but I had stopped to ask directions & the gentleman I talked to went there every weekend & he said that it closed 4-5 years ago & he was pretty sure of that. He may have been mistaken & just lost track of time over the years though I suppose. I do know that it would have been a bugger sitting in the stands watching & looking into the sunset & with the blackflies & other creatures & insects around, it would have been miserable. I know that the night I went, I had to watch it as the flies & bugs were trying to swarm me when I was walking around checking things out, especially when I got near the infield & turns 1 & 2 where there were swamps. The track is out in the middle of the woods & quite a ways from any so-called population other than the former track owners that live in the house & own the mill that you have to go past to get to the tracks facilities.

Unfortunately, Doug has closed his site down.

Greg Belyea, who now races in the Modified division at Brighton, was a regular weekly competitor at Cedar Mills. We talked to him for a bit while at Brighton for the Labour Day Classic after the races on Sunday & he confirmed that for me. Maybe someone can let him know about this site & he can add his memories & possibly some photos instead of scans from the programs. Just a thought.

Thanks. I'm at Brighton fairly regularly in the summertime. If he hasn't checked in by the spring, I'll let him know about the site.

I have some awesome memories of this track. My father who some of you probably remember, Billy "Bumper" Mitchell #29 raced here in the early 90's I was a kid then and I knew all of the drivers names and #'s. Such an awesome time back then. I raced in Bangor in my early 20's and I took my race car over here to test it out. I took 2 laps and blew out 3 tires haha. Should have swept the track I guess.  Either way, what a bullring track this was. I have all kinds of old footage of my dad racing from 92'. Some of the big names in the division that year were the Eastport crew of my dad, Mike Pottle, Richard Clark, Dana Turner, and other names were Greg Belyea and his brothers, Tim and Bill I think. Maynard Hamilton, Pete Woodcock and Brad Logan. There were many others. Thanks for the pictures. :) my email ericmitchell29@hotmail.com

Interesting to note that the numbers for the 1992 Stock Class Drivers only went up to #99 with the extra numbers being #01, #02, etc. Why was there resistance to drivers racing with numbers from #100 upwards?
