Notes:
  • Built over an old horse track that had been unused for about 30 years
  • Opened on August 8, 1951
  • Property was owned by Albert Weber
  • Operated by the Maple Leaf Midget and Stock Car Racing Club in 1951
  • The club rented the track from Weber
  • Raced Wednesday nights in 1951
  • Did not operate in 1952
  • Re-opened in 1953 under a partnership consisting of Glenn Kreitzer, W.E. Meyer, Albert Weber, Howard Weber and Roy Weber
  • Switched to Saturday night racing in 1953
  • There was a drivers' strike in 1962 to secure a guaranteed purse instead of the purse being a percentage of the gate income
  • The reason for closing was mostly due to noise complaints
  • Track property is now baseball fields
