Notes:
  • Whittier Park was a horse racing track built in 1924 but was unused since early in the Second World War
  • Stock car track was built inside the horse track
  • Opening day was May 24, 1952
  • Stock cars on Tuesday and Friday nights
  • Also held occassional motorcycle races
  • Original promoter was Kenneth Merrill who promoted several tracks in Ontario in the early 1950s
  • Track closed at the end of July 1953 after financial losses due to large number of rain-outs
  • Most of the drivers moved to Brooklands
