  • Located on the west outskirts of Grande Prairie, in what is now College Park
  • At the time it was called Richmond Park
  • Ran by the Grand Prairie Stock Car Club
  • The name Speedway 99 honoured Walter Murphy, one of the early promoters and owner of car 99
  • Murphy was killed in a plane crash in 1961
  • In 1963 the track banking was increased and metal grandstands were added
  • Closed due to high insurance costs
