  • Horse track that was also used for auto racing in its later years
  • The stock cars used the original 1/2 mile horse track inside the newer 1 mile horse track
  • First event was July 8, 1950
  • Promoter / track owner was John Demetre
  • Associate Promoter was Ed Otto in 1950
  • Grandstands were elevated and covered
  • Hosted NASCAR Late Model Sportsman races three times in 1950 - July 8 and July 15 won by Ken Warmington, July 22 won by Hugh Darragh
  • The 1951 weekly races were held on Saturday afternoons
  • Hosted CMA motorcycles on Aug 6, 1951
  • Hosted Canadas first NASCAR Grand National event on July 1, 1952

  • The 1953 NASCAR race was originally scheduled for July 1 but was rained out, with at least two other dates also rained out
  • John Spencer was killed on Aug 12, 1953 as the result of a roll-over
  • Facility was closed because the Ontario Jockey Club moved the horse racing dates to other tracks and the land was sold for housing
