 The
rainy spring weather continued to affect racing in Southern
Ontario as the June 19 WoO Late Model show was rained out.
The rain started falling during qualifying and the night's
races were postponed until Friday.

The
Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame is looking for photos of
Richard Petty's car that he raced at the NASCAR Grand National
event at the CNE Speedway on July 18, 1958. This was Richard's
first career GN event. He raced a 1957 Oldsmobile with the
#142, not the more famous #43 that he raced for most of his
career.

Regular
racing. 
The
ACT Late Model series came to Kawartha for the annual Summer
Sizzler 200.
The
title says it all.
The
Grand-Am KONI Challenge and the NASCAR Canadian Tire Sereies
rolled into the Mosport road course for the annual Father's
Day Doubleheader. CanadianRacer.com was on hand for the Grand-Am
race on Saturday and the NCATS qualifying that followed.
It
was opening night at Kawartha after the May 31 event was rained
out. The OSCAAR Super Late Models and the Ontario Pro-Challenge
Series were on the schedule along with Kawartha's regular
classes.
