Tire Motorsport Park - NASCAR Truck

 It
was the first time that the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
raced outside of the United States and the first road course
race for the series since 2000. Chase Elliott took home the
victory.
The first group of shots are from practice on Friday. The
race shots start with the shot of the field crossing under
the Michelin bridge. I could only stay for the first hour
of the race on Sunday as I had to leave for Brighton Speedway.

All
five classes were in action, highlighted by the Danny Reid
Memorial for the Canadian Modifieds and the Great Crate Race
for the Late Models. 
Friday
night of AppleFest saw the Mini-Modifieds, Vintage Mods and
Sportsman Modifieds join the Stingers, Comp4s and Pro-Stocks.
Unfortunately, the Saturday night was rained out.
Karts
and spectator racing were on the schedule.
Day
2 of the Labour Day Classic Weekend.
Day
1 of the Labour Day Classic Weekend.
The
vans were back, along with a karting demo.
Another
great night of racing with the SOS cars and spectator racing.
The
Vantastics were back.
Aftershock
and Krazy Train put on their display of monster truck power.
All
five Brighton Speedway classes were in action.
The
sprint cars were back. Overall, the night was one of the best
nights of racing in a long time.
The
Vintage Modifieds and Vans were on the schedule.
The
Canada Day weekend brought extra laps in the features and
a qualifying session.
The
World of Outlaws Late Models came to Brighton for the first
time ever.
The
always popular buses made their first appearance of the season.
The
SOS cars were back.
An
action-packed night saw all five regular classes plus spectator
racing and a Comp 4 Mechanics race.
The
Southern Ontario Sprint cars made their first appearance of
the season.
It
was a cold night the action on the track kept our minds off
the temperature.
The
weather was beautiful for opening night. The pits were full
and the grandstands were packed. Who could ask for more?
