The race on May 19 was won by Johnny Mantz
There were no grandstands for the May 19 race - the crowd of 5000 had to stand
The July 21 race was won by Marshall Teague who picked up $1400
There was an issue with the promoter being able to pay the purse so USAC had to cover the cost
There were plans for a 500 mile race later in the year but it never materialized
